Carsten Jørgensen is a Danish industrial designer, best known in the design community as the former director of Bodum for over 25 years. His Bistro teacup is so ubiquitous to The Next Generation, it is sometimes referred to as “The Picard Cup,” from which Captain Picard drinks his “Tea, Earl Grey, Hot.” An updated edition of the Bistro, the Bistro Nouveau, was released later. A 10oz Bistro Nouveau cup was used in the Enterprise episode, “Unexpected,” in the NX-01’s mess hall.
