Mario Botta is a Swiss architect and industrial designer, most closely associated with postmodernism. His Shogun Tavolo lamp was designed for luxury lighting manufacturer, Artemide. It was used in The Next Generation episode, “A Matter of Perspective,” the bedroom on the Tanuga IV research station.
