Aldo van den Nieuwelaar was a Dutch architect and industrial designer, known for his use of minimalistic and soft geometric shapes. His A’dammer cabinets are among his best known works. They were used in several episodes of both The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, in diverse locations, and in the Enterprise episode, “Detained,” as set dressing for Colonel Grat’s office in Detention Complex 26 on the Tandaran Moon.
