Candle Holder by Hans Nagel and Werner Stoff

1960’s
In production through STOFF Nagel

Hans Nagel and Werner Stoff were German industrial designers, whose modular candleholder was their best known work. Reportedly inspired by three finger indents made in the snow, the then-unknown Nagel proposed the idea to Stoff, and the two collaborated on its design and fabrication. Endlessly modular and produced with a variety of sizes, metals, and bases, it remains an iconic example of midcentury European design. It was used in Strange New Worlds, as set dressing for Spock’s quarters.
