Hivo Van Teal was a Cuban-American sculptor and lighting designer, who gained popularity in the 1970′s for his mass-produced abstract sculptures for department and home goods stores. This red perfume bottle sculpture was used in the Deep Space Nine episode, “Afterimage,” in Ezri Dax’s quarters.
