Manfredo Massironi was an Italian artist, architect, and aesthetic theorist, and one of the founding members of the Gruppo N (originally Gruppo Ennea), an arts collective devoted to visual and kinetic research and its application in art and industrial design. His Tyco wall units function as both a decorative piece and as functional wall shelving. Several were used throughout Star Trek series, though we see they were modified with the additional dividers and mounted on circular backgrounds.
