LC7 Chair designed by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina

Designed 1927
In production through Cassina

Charlotte Perriand was a French architect and designer, and pioneer of early modernism. Her LC7 chair was originally designed in 1927 for personal use in her Paris apartment, but was added to Le Corbusier’s LC collection for the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1928. It afterward went into regular production through Cassina. It was used in several episodes of The Next Generation, and is pictured here in “The High Ground,” in the security office on Rutia IV, “The Masterpiece Society,” on Moab IV, and “The First Duty,” in Wesley Crusher’s room at Starfleet Academy.
