Ox Chair by Hans Wegner for AP Stolen

Hans Wegner was a prolific Danish furniture designer, credited with the design of nearly five hundred chairs during his lifetime. His Ox Chair was initially designed in 1960 for AP Stolen of Denmark, though it shortly went out of production. It was rereleased by Erik Jørgensen in 1989. The Ox Chair was used in The Next Generation episode, “Brothers,” in Dr. Soong’s lab on Terlina III, and the Voyager episodes, “Caretaker,” in the background of Captain Janeway’s communication with Mark Johnson, and both parts of two-part episode, “Year of Hell,” as seating for Annorax’s office.
