Cattelan Italia is an Italian luxury furniture manufacturer. According to a representative from the company, the wood paneling on the desk used in The Next Generation was not part of the original design and was likely added by Star Trek set designers. This piece appears in The Next Generation two-part episode “Unification” in Romulan Proconsul Neral’s office.
