Michael Graves was an American architect and industrial designer, best known for his whimsical postmodern designs. His 9093 Kettle features a unique, bird-shaped whistle, which was removed for its use in Star Trek. It was used in The Next Generation episode, “The Survivors,” in the Uxbridge House, an several episodes of Voyager, as Neelix’s tea kettle in Voyager’s mess hall.
