Designed 1984

Achille Castiglioni was an Italian furniture and industrial designer, best known for his design collaborations with his brother, Pier Giacomo. His oil and vinegar cruets for Alessi feature distinctive stainless steel ears which function as counterweights to keep the lids in an open horizontal position as the liquid is poured. They were used as set dressing for crew quarters in several episodes of The Next Generation.
