Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was an eminent architect, pioneer of modernism, and the last director of the Bauhaus School. His Barcelona chair was designed for the Germany pavilion at the Barcelona Exposition in 1929. It was used in the Voyager episode, “Endgame” in Admiral Janeway’s apartment.
