Peter Opsvik was a Norwegian industrial designer, best known for his unusual ergonomic chairs. His Globe series was inspired by resting in trees, with limbs draped across various branches. The Globe stool was used on the bridge of the Tarellian ship in The Next Generation episode, “Haven,” alongside Opsvik’s Globe Garden lounge chair.
