Giancarlo Vegni and Gianfranco Gualtierotti are Italian industrial designers, both with prolific bodies of work dating back to the 1960’s. Vegni studied at l’Istituto d’Arte di Cascina before founding Studio Vegni, where he still works as the Chief Designer. Gualtierotta’s career features frequent collaborations with such design companies as Cassina, Edra, Fasem, and others. He is the current vice president of the Museum of Tuscan Design MuDeTo. Their P40 chair for Fasem was used in the Star Trek Picard episode, “The Impossible Box,” in Narek’s quarters on the Artifact.
