Arthur Umanoff was a mid century American furniture designer whose work was inspired by Danish Modernism. This swivel chair was used in The Original Series pilot, “The Cage.” Arthur Umanoff was also the designer of the lounge chair which served as the base for the Enterprise Captain’s Chair in TOS.
