Warren Platner was an American architect and interior designer, best known for his Platner collection. The latter, of which the Platner Lounge Chair is a part, features iconic sculptural steel wiring and gentle, rounded seats. It was used in the TOS episode, “A Taste of Armageddon,” as set dressing for Eminiar VII, and in The Next Generation episode, “The Icarus Factor,” in place of the Pierre Paulin Tulip Chair that is typically in Troi’s office.
