SS33 Chair by Anton Lorenz

Designed c. 1930’s
No longer in production

Anton Lorenz was a Hungarian industrial designer, best known for his contributions to Early Modernism and his association with the Bauhaus School. The name of his SS33 chair implies that it was designed in 1933, but that may just be the year it went into commercial production, as the final image here features the chair used in Lorenz’s Berlin apartment in 1932. It was used in The Search for Spock, as seating for the Starfleet Officer’s Lounge.

Used in:
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
