Tulip Stool by Thinline

Thinline was a mid century furniture manufacturer, whose tulip stool was produced in the style of Eero Saarinen and Maurice Burke, the latter of whom designed the 115 and 116 Tulip chairs used prominently throughout The Original Series. Ex Astris Scientia observes that, while the Thinline stool is similar to a Burke design, the Thinline’s base is wider and features an outer fold. Several were used in The Original Series episode, “Spock’s Brain,” on Sigma Draconis VI.
