Carsten Jørgensen is a Danish industrial designer, best known in the design community as the former director of Bodum for over 25 years. He’s better known to Trekkies as the designer of the “Picard Cup,” of Bodum’s Bistro line. His Assam tea press was used as set dressing for Captain Pike’s quarters in the Strange New Worlds episode, “Wedding Bell Blues.” Alongside it you can see two of Jørgensen’s other Bodum designs which have reappeared throughout Star Trek: a Bistro cup and a Bistro Nouveau cup.
