Tatlin Sofa by Marion Cananzi & Roberto Semprini for Edra

Designed 1989
No longer in production

Marion Cananzi and Roberto Semprini were Italian industrial desiders, whose Tatlin sofa was an homage to Tatlin’s Tower. Tatlin’s Tower was the unbuilt monument to the Third International, designed by Russian artist, Vladimir Tatlin, following the Bolshevik Revolution. This unusual sofa was used to furnish Data’s cell on Kivas Fajo’s ship in The Next Generation episode, “The Most Toys,” and, referentially, in the Lower Decks episode, “Dos Cerritos.”
