In exciting news, I found a set of Arcoroc Octime plates at a thrift shop! I’ve wanted these for a while and am glad to have finally found some at a second-hand price. I’ve added them to the Collection page.
I’ve also added a new page for a recently identified object:
Merati Milano’s Coffee Table (used in The Next Generation)

In more press news, Star Trek + Design was mentioned (well… linked to, anyway) in Eric Pesola’s article for Heavy., Blue Food: The Story of How a ‘Star Trek’ Director Had to Bribe his Actors. Just follow the link for “blue food and drink” to get to my page on Cristal D’Arques’s Megeve Taille Wine Glasses (which I originally sourced from Quarks Qantina).
Yesterday, I added four pages for newly identified objects:
Ingmar Relling’s Optima Chair (used in The Next Generation)
Hans Wegner’s Ox Chair (used in Voyager)
Michele de Lucchi’s Cyclos Sconce (used in The Next Generation)
Ron Rezek’s Stratos Fan (used in The Next Generation)
The last one, which was sent to me by James Tucker on Instagram, required me to create another “Other” category within the Other page. I’ve never featured a ceiling fan before!

In what is now the most famous publication that Star Trek + Design has been featured in, an interview I gave for GQ, The Star Trek Extended Design Universe, was published two days ago! The writer, Emily Jensen, also spoke to Dan Chavkin and Brian McGuire, authors of Star Trek: Designing the Final Frontier, and to Jody Clement, art director for Star Trek Discovery. I’m incredibly honored to have been included in conversation with such celebrated people in the Trek community.
And today I’ve added pages for two newly identified objects:
Artup Lighting’s Rainbow Model A-5040 (used in The Next Generation)
Boris Lovet-Lorski’s “Young Woman” Sculpture (used in The Next Generation)

I’ve added pages for three newly identified objects:
C. Jeré’s Memphis Style Sculpture (used in The Next Generation)
Jeannot Cerutti’s Blown Glass Table Lamp (used in The Next Generation)
Gunnar Cyrén’s Nobel Champagne Flute (used in Voyager)

I’ve broken up Maurice Burke’s Tulip Chairs into two separate pages for the two models. They previously shared one page. I also moved them from “Desk Chairs” to “Dining Chairs” because, even though they swivel, they weren’t really designed for office use.
Speaking of Burke chairs, I recently won a Tulip 116 at an auction! If you follow Star Trek + Design on instagram, you probably know I moved to Sweden for grad school a few weeks ago, and have found that vintage furniture here is significantly cheaper than in the Unites States. I was surprised to find a Burke chair in Sweden for literally less than 10% of what they typically go for in America, especially considering Burke was an American designer. I’ve added it to the Collection page.

I’ve added two new pages for identified objects:
Clare Brass’s Kalisto Kitchen Boxes (used in Voyager)
R & Y Augousti’s Desk (used in Deep Space Nine)
And added new screencaps to two existing pages:
Bombo Stools designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Magis (to reflect their use in Enterprise)
Tulip Chairs designed by Maurice Burke for Arkana (to reflect their use in Enterprise)
And, finally, two more items to my Collection page. Thanks to my sister for photographing!
