It’s been a while since my last update, but I’ve been very busy! For a while I’ve been toying with ways to improve filtering and navigation in the “Identified Objects” pages. I’d previously had them in Squarespace’s Portfolio format, which was really limiting as far as the amount of objects I was allowed to add to a section, and didn’t allow me to add tags or categories. Now, I’ve converted all the pages to the Blog format, with subdivisions using Categories rather than separate pages.
Another fun feature is that now, when you view an object, you can see the categories on the top. So, if you click on a chair used in The Next Generation, you can selection The Next Generation category and see all identified chairs used in the show. The same applies to all the other sections. I’ve also changed the format of the pages a bit. Now you can click the images for a zoomed view of the whole screencap, rather than only seeing a fixed cropped image. It’d be really nice to be able to select multiple filters at a time, but that’s an add-on functionality in Squarespace and I don’t want to pay $75 for it.
I’ve also added new pages for the following objects:
Fellow Product’s Joey Double Wall Ceramic Mug (used in Discovery and Strange New Worlds)
Carsten Jørgensen’s Bistro Nouveau Cup (used in Enterprise)
Gunther Lambert’s Corsica White Wine Glass (used in The Next Generation)
Anchor Hocking’s Circle Decanter (used in Voyager)
Blu Dot’s Real Good Counter Stool (used in Picard)
Hill Manufacturing’s Lucite Stools (used in The Next Generation)
Michael Wolk’s Tucker Chair (used in Deep Space Nine and Voyager)
Marcello Ziliani’s Smile Armchair (used in Picard)
Kastel’s Kicca Swivel Chair (used in Picard)
CFC’s Julie Dining Table (used in Picard)
Matteo Thun’s Chest of Drawers (used in The Next Generation)
Arroyo Craftsman’s Mission MB-10, MCM-8, and MW-10 Lights (used in The Next Generation)
Bill Curry’s Stemlite Model 3-4 Lamp (used in The Original Series)
C. Jere’s Kinetic Ribbon Sculpture (used in The Next Generation)
John Follis’s Tire Planter (used in The Original Series)
I’ve also corrected a page for a previously misattributed object:
